Events – Quarterly Meeting

-          Being held at Another Broken Egg

-          Chris Harwood is providing drinks (water, soda, tea)

-          Ron Carpenter from DPD will speak at meeting

-          Food – Karen Pape will coordinate food for meeting

Events – Block Party

-          May 9th

-          Aren – will handle permit

-          Will White will organize

-          Get orange cones to block off streets?

-          Communication for Block Party:

o   Announcement in newsletter

o   Flyer week before

o   Put out signs

o   Will White will send out email

Projects:

-          VIP – More people were training in March

o   Nancy Jackson has done a great job getting this program up and running

o   Need to seek replacement for Nancy once she starts her school.

-          Crime Cameras

o   Recent activity is prompting increased focus

o   Board is focused on IP Camera solution

o   Will White’s camera is online and upgraded and ready for continued testing

o   Need to finish testing and put together details of how to move forward and get a standard solution

-          Waterford Circle

o   Circle is being mowed and will continue private mowing for now.

-          Galway Circle – Tree Trimming – Suggested to get trees pruned.

-          Galway Circle – Suggested to have some additional trees planted (such as Japanese maples) in circle.

-          Neighborhood Directory – Will follow up later after membership drive for neighborhood directory and VIP information.

-          Buckner/Garland Intersection – All neighborhoods

-          Membership Drive – Working to get the membership drive started

o   Email went out and some residents already signing up online

-          Agreed to discuss recognition program for new LPENA members in future meeting

-           

 

Administration:

-          Quarterly Crime Summit Funding –

o   Mel Cyrak requesting LPENA to sponsor food for this quarter’s meeting.

o   Board agreed to provide $50 towards meeting

-          Block Captain Coordinator – Lucan Watkins has volunteered

-          Crime Watch Chair – Potentially Elizabeth Howard, still seeking other candidates in case Elizabeth can’t fulfill role

-          First Meeting of New Term – Being held at home of Krista de la Harpe

-          Treasurer

o   Tax report due for LPENA – Gary working on it.

-          Membership and Treasurer Report

o   Approximately $1,000.00 spent on Waterford Circle.

-          Aren Cambre will send out announcement on money previously donated for new monuments
